Remittance Flows to Developing Countries to Decline By 7.3% in 2009, Predicts World Bank

Updated estimates released at July 13-14 International Diaspora and Development Conference

Remittance flows from migrant workers who come from developing countries to their home countries will decrease by more than 7 per cent in 2009 and could decline further as the impact of the global recession deepens, according to new World Bank calculations.
